As members of St. Charles Borromeo, we are dedicated to helping our Peoria neighbors by providing emergency food assistance and compassionate referrals for more long-term support. We are always looking for volunteers who share our commitment to serving others.
It is incredibly rewarding to assist families in need. Seeing the tears of joy on their faces when they receive the food we can provide—and hearing their gratitude when they learn they can return for more—deeply touches every one of us. These moments remind us why this ministry is so important. We also delight in seeing the happiness of children when they receive a small toy or trinket to play with. Our pantry is supported by a fantastic group of volunteers who generously give their time to serve those in need. They not only make a difference in our community but also enjoy a sense of fellowship and camaraderie with one another.
The pantry serves our church community and the surrounding areas—including individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds—on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6PM to 8PM.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the parish office to learn more about the requirements for joining this wonderful ministry. Come be a part of this rewarding and joyful mission—we would love to have you!
