The Pastoral Council at St. Charles Borromeo serves as a consultative body fostering meaningful dialogue between the pastor and the faithful. This communion of collaboration allows for fruitful discussions on matters affecting our parish community. ✨
The council meets monthly to review and evaluate the progress of parish goals, objectives, and priorities. We assist the pastor in developing parish policies and addressing issues that impact the life of the parish. By identifying areas of need and bringing them to the pastor’s attention, we support him in shepherding the flock effectively. ️
Many council members also lead other parish ministries, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our parish's activities. During each meeting, updates on the various ministries are shared, helping our pastor stay informed and providing an opportunity for his valuable input. These discussions not only cover past events but also look ahead to upcoming activities and initiatives. ⛪
Council members act as extensions of the pastor, serving as approachable points of contact for parishioners who wish to share questions, ideas, or concerns. Each year, new members are introduced to the parish during Mass, making it easy for the community to recognize and connect with us.
Members of the Pastoral Council are chosen by the pastor after a process of nomination, prayerful discernment, and personal inquiry. Serving on the council is a three-year commitment, with new and seasoned members working together to ensure continuity and fresh perspectives. The council is led by two dedicated co-chairs, Karen Crowe and Tim Mullane, alongside members deeply committed to the growth and vitality of our parish. ❤️
