From Fr. James,
The Stewardship Council is the body that assists the parish in developing our understanding of how we use our time, talent and treasure in response to God's call to discipleship.
We are currently developing this Council; however, stewardship is something that is important to the long term health of the parish.
One of my favorite stewardship quotes is, "When we use our time and talent, we do not have to use as much treasure." The reality is that stewardship is not just about the bank account or how to grow the bank account, but how we live our lives as disciples of Christ. How do we use the time and talent that God has given us for the Kingdom of God?
Too often we hear the term,"stewardship, and only think about the treasure and what does the church need now..... The reality is, we should be looking at all three aspects of stewardship and how through stewardship are we growing in our relationships with God and each other.
Always remember each one of us is the treasure of God placed on the earth. Through our life others should have the fullness of life. As we continue to grow, we will place more information on our stewardship as a parish on this page, but also many ideas on how to grow your stewardship of what God has entrusted you with.
Peace, Fr. James
